Jennifer Sjölund: 2010 - 2014, Investigating recent and historic anthropogenic impacts on the genetic diversity and population structure of European beech forests. Funded by NERC as part of the FP7 BiodivERsA project European Beech Forests for the Future: Ecological, economical, and policy analysis of beech forest conservation under the Natura 2000 Network (BeFoFu).

Romuald Rouger: 2010 - 2014, Characterising genetic recovery during saltmarsh restoration. Funded by the Esmée Faibairn Foundation and the University of Stirling and conducted in collaboration with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).

Sarah Greenwood: 2010 - 2014, Shifting species distributions in a warming world: The rising Abies kawakamii treelines of Taiwan. Funded by NERC and conducted in collaboration with the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) and China Medical University (CMU).

Liam Cavin: 2009 - 2014, Investigating the impacts of climate change and extreme climatic events on the growth of the European beech, Fagus sylvatica.  Funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), Liam's project was associated with the FP7 BiodivERsA project European Beech Forests for the Future: Ecological, economical, and policy analysis of beech forest conservation under the Natura 2000 Network (BeFoFu).

Pierre Mercatoris: 2012, Seasonal growth patterns of Taiwan pine in response to spatiotemporal climatic variation. Funded by a British Ecological Society Scholarship.

Sarah Young: 2011, Dendroecology of Taiwan pine across its altitudinal distribution in the Central Mountain Range of Taiwan. Funded by a Biological and Environmental Sciences Summer Scholarship.
